The body combines textured argyle patterns, cables and chevrons, reflecting the decorative knit structures traditionally used in gansey garments. Running across the shoulder is the symbolic 'Ladder of Life' pattern, historically associated with the stages of life, the challenges and achievements of sailors, and the ladders used aboard fishing vessels. Finished with a rolled edge crew neck, side hem slits and a garter stitch welt inspired by seashore waves, Solva balances heritage detailing with modern comfort.
